Kulturnatten 2008
Here is a slideshow with what we did during this years version of the annual Culture Night. Some stuff were amazing. Big attractions this year was the new illumination of the Cathedral, very nice. But maybe it says more about Uppsala as a town that that is considered a “big step”. Its so standard in other cities with landmarks of similiar magnitude.. Of course this year we attended the events at Skrotcentralen, the city Junk Yard for the first time. A truly great program there, with all kinds of music on two stages, ranging from Choir singing and Clarinet Quartets, to rock and a good helping of Dub later during the night.
I took a walk by myself after putting the kid to sleep, and discovered that not much have changed during the few years I missed this. There is still too much drinking going on, sadly a lot of young people that looked like the night had backfired on them. Amyways, the evening ended with much dignity as I met up with mother and Hasse and attented my brothers concert. Cantamás, excellent excellent stuff.
Also this year, I worked like a lunatic on a project very much related to kulturnatten. Sadly the idea only came to me two weeks before, and despite efforts from developers worldwide, we decided to let it wait. More about that later..
