It’s fun to play isn’t it?

We took a stop by the studio with the little kids, since we were playing in a nearby park anyway and it started to rain. Turned out Aron is now big enough to really enjoy being around instruments. I heard about that they have been playing musical games at kindgarten, that now became obvious as he immediately claimed the guitar on the wall as his own.

The resulting beautiful music was recorded, mixed and mastered on the trusty Zoom R16. Aron ends the set full of confidence with “That was a good song! It’s fun to play isn’t it?”

Simon was a good sport and enjoyed chewing cables and tormenting various percussion instruments while me and Aron were jamming.

I just need to take a second and plug the awesome service that is SoundCloud. It’s a music sharing service made for musicians/radio stations. The free account gives you 120 minutes of online space, any audio format accepted. A lovely interface and generous terms makes this service a real winner. Also some pretty big names are starting to use the service for their own wicked ends, such as Ninja Tune and their cohorts and quite recently one of my personal idols, Vince Clarke.

Last weekend saw a tremendous party for Aron and his third birthday. We decided it would be best to divide up the occasion into two different parties, one for the family and another for his friends. It turns out to have been a very successful decision since each day was just as much as any party-planner would like to handle
The bicycle present was so huge for him that he still can’t really admit that he owns one,
