Fun and productive session in the studio yesterday with H H. We listened to some old enter demotapes that he had rescued from death by means of his old Yamaha portastudio that he still keeps in active service! Some truly horrible stuff and some that frankly could be released today with no modifications at all. H H is our webmaster / cd salesman, and he reports that there is still some interest in the old band and it’s recordings, pretty fun since it’s more than 20 years since we released anything.. who knows what the future might bring tho!

I didn’t realize that H is actually running a synthpop act right now! You should totally check them out, and why not book them for your party?

After recieving a rather nasty electrical shock i decided to reroute every single cable in the studio. I actually could feel my heart hurt after the kiss i got from touching the backplane on the dj deck..i don’t think L would forgive me if i left her to raise the kids alone at this stage, so better not tempt fate. I turned out to be the actual audio cables running from some vintage gear that introduced a rather nasty ground loop. The main offending synth is due for service anyway, so i’m leaving it turned off for now.

I\m still working on a new version of the gumucio.com site, progress is slo-ow but thats mainly because i’m learning rails as i go along. I’m discovering that anything is possible in the framwork but there are certain conventions you better follow, or you pay the ultimate price (longer development time).
